JOIN AIDA’S CAMPAIGN FOR WHITTIER CITY COUNCIL IN DISTRICT 4
TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
SMALL BUSINESS OWNER. ATTORNEY. PROUD WIFE AND MOM.
Meet Aida Macedo
As a young mom, wife, attorney, and small business owner, I bring a new perspective grounded in listening, problem-solving, and putting residents first.
Whittier is home. You have an opportunity to choose fresh leadership rooted in accountability, transparency, and community values.
Representative Government: Too many Whittier residents feel ignored by City Hall. I believe public service means being present, accessible, and responsive. I will return calls, hold open conversations, and lead with integrity so residents always know their voices matter.
Public Safety: Our community is facing real challenges- traffic congestion, theft, and violations of constitutional rights- yet the response has been slow and inadequate. I will advocate for practical, lawful solutions that protect public safety while preserving quality of life for all.
Smart, Community-Centered Growth: Growth should serve families, seniors, and small businesses- not special interests. I am not a developer and my priority will always be residents. I will stand up for thoughtful development that reflects community input, protects neighborhood character, and truly beautifies Whittier.
I am running to bring honest, accountable leadership back to City Hall-leadership that works for you.
I respectfully ask for your vote on April 14, 2026.
Aida Susie Macedo

Growing Up
Aida Macedo is a Whittier homeowner, attorney, and mom who owns a small business based in Whittier and is committed to strengthening our community.
Growing up in Southeast Los Angeles in a strong immigrant family, Aida often became her mother’s advocate and problem solver, learning early on how to work hard, speak up, and push through barriers. Those experiences shaped her lifelong commitment to expanding opportunity and fairness for families and communities who need it most.
Aida became the first in her family to graduate from college, earning her degree from UC Irvine with honors and her law degree from UC Davis, earning the Public Service Award. She began her career in public service as an Equal Justice Works Fellow, providing free legal assistance to low-income communities. She later served as Chief of Staff for a city council district in the Central Valley, strengthening neighborhood services and gaining firsthand experience in local government.
Over the years, Aida has worked as a civil litigator, policy advisor, and advocate focused on supporting working families, small businesses, and community nonprofits. Her work has been recognized across California, earning multiple honors from bar associations and the prestigious Marshall Memorial Fellowship.
Today, Aida is running for Whittier City Council in District 4 to bring fresh leadership, integrity, and accountability to City Hall. She is committed to keeping Whittier safe, welcoming, and full of opportunity where every family has the chance to thrive.
